Philadelphia Union Academy midfielder Julian Anderson is currently away in Italy with the United States U15 team for the 2017 Torneo delle Nazioni.

Anderson, of Ocean Township, N.J., came off the bench for the U.S. in their first game of the tournament on Tuesday in the 64th minute. The U.S. beat Slovenia 4-0 in the match to start the tournament and followed that up with a 2-1 win over Russia this morning. They play England tomorrow at 11 a.m. eastern time.

The tournament is being held in Gradisca d’Isonzo, Italy and runs through May 1. The semis are scheduled for Saturday and the finals are on Sunday.

The international call-up is the second for Anderson since joining the Union Academy from Players Development Academy last fall. He was called into a domestic training camp in Chula Vista, California back in January by head coach Dave Van Den Bergh.

The 15-year-old has four goals in nine appearances with the U14 team this year and made his Generation adidas Cup debut in Frisco, Texas at the finals of the competition earlier this month.
