Philadelphia Union Academy teams come up short in Montreal, sweep Loudoun Soccer at home
Teams go 3-3-0 overall in games against Montreal Impact, Loudoun Soccer and Lehigh Valley United
Tiger Graham opened the scoring 14 minutes in with his 21st of the season from the spot, but the Philadelphia Union Academy U18 team was unable to overcome a Montreal Impact offense that put five into the back of the net in a 5-2 loss on the road on Saturday.
Max Sakiewicz added his first goal of the season in the 61st minute to make it 3-2 but a first half brace from Gabriel Wiethaeuper-Balbinotti along with a penalty kick from Mathieu Choinieri and a late insurance goal from Don-Junior Bobe were too much to overcome.
The loss was the second in the last four games for the U18s (17-5-2), which are still in good position for the playoffs (fourth overall) and in first place in the Atlantic Division with two games remaining this weekend against D.C. United and New York Red Bulls.
