The Philadelphia Union U15 team ended its era in the Northeast Pre-Academy League on Saturday in disappointment as visiting Met Oval booked a spot in the National Premier Leagues finals with a 3-2 win at YSC Sports.

The U15s will officially be joining the U.S. Soccer Development Academy this fall after two seasons in the U.S. Club Soccer regional league.

Last year’s team came up short in the playoffs as well after finishing second in the league with a 13-3-3 record. This year’s team finished in third place with a 13-3-4 record. Met Oval finished seventh in the regular season standings.

The NPL finals will be held in Westfield, Indiana July 13-17.
