Union continue drawing ways with 1-1 tie vs. Rapids

Another game.  Another point earned.

The Union controlled the game, showed good form and created chances.  Colorado showed little urgency, little need for the ball and banked on a fast break or a bounce to go their way.  Their play was supremely uninspired and as a commenter noted in the game thread: boring.

The Rapids got what they were waiting around for early in the second half on a long shot for goal to go up 1-0.  Ten minutes later Le Toux slipped a great pass to Mwanga for a confident finish (his 7th of the season).

The match continued on and got very tight at the end.  Le Toux had the best chance for the win but was taken down in the box to the stunning sound of crickets.

This was a better showing than the Real Salt Lake draw but we need to get another win. The points are needed but confidence is vital.

I hope to see something soon that has been a ghost all season: the elusive clean sheet.  One day we won't allow any goals.  One day…

Good thing we are playing DC next week to get the beat back.
