Peter Nowak (back from his jaunt to Poland) made multiple changes to the Philadelphia line-up for their trip to Dallas. For the first time this season, we saw Sebastien Le Toux partner Danny Mwanga up top with Carlos Ruiz dropped to the bench. Roger Torres also started his second match of the season, pushed out to the right side of the midfield. Faryd Mondragon did start after being questionable with a groin injury.

Impressive Effort From FC Dallas As They Beat Philadelphia Union 2-0 – Big D Soccer

On a beautiful night at Pizza Hut Park, FC Dallas pulled out an impressive result over the Philadelphia Union with a 2-0 result over one of the better sides from the Eastern Conference. First half goals from Fabian Castillo and Brek Shea were enough to earn the three points and to for a little a moment tonight put FC Dallas into a tie for the overall standings in Major League Soccer with the Los Angeles Galaxy with 17 points.

The Dallas Attack – Big D Soccer

Last year, right around this time, FCD started to heat up. They had beaten DC off a Cunningham goal and had tied Philly at their temporary stadium. The LA match came around and we lost narrowly. That would be the last loss that FCD would experience until the second to last match of the year. Despite that unbeaten run the media and non-Dallas MLS fans still did not take us seriously.

But the Union left Pizza Hut Park with a 2-0 loss, extending their winless streak to three games (0-2-1) and remaining a point behind New York and New England.
