Talking The Union With Chris Vito Of The Delco Times
The Brotherly Game caught up with Delaware County Times (Delco Times) Philadelphia Union beat reporter Chris Vito to talk about the Union’s 2011 season. We chatted about Faryd Mondragon’s health, the confidence of the team in rookie goalkeeper Zac MacMath (and whether or not MacMath has faith in himself, among other things involving the Union.
It’s interesting to note that our conversation took place last Friday, before the Union’s match against FC Dallas. Most of what we talked about still holds true today: controversy over Carlos Ruiz starting or being benched, Mongradon’s groin (or Mondragroin per Taylor Twellman, the Union’s TV color commentator), the failings of the offense, the disappointing play of the midfield and more.
