Union DOOP Commercial Premiers On 6abc
The Philadelphia Union debuted its "DOOP" commercial on 6abc today.
Featured in the commercial are bits and pieces of Union goals from its inaugural 2010 MLS season. Danny Mwanga and Sebastien Le Toux have the most time of any Union players in the commercial. Mwanga has two of his goals from play featured, while Le Toux’s penalty kick against Toronto (which won the game in the 95th minute of the match) appears to be his one goal in the commercial.
Because of the ties between DOOP and the Sons of Ben, the supporters group was given a lot of love in the commercial. Section 137 capo – in essence the person who leads the chants in his or her respective section of the River End of PPL Park – Corey Furlan (@SoB_Corey on Twitter) even had his own spot in the commercial.
The commercial coincides with strong season ticket sales, partial season ticket packages already released and single game tickets just announced.
