The English Premier League will once again play a part in a Major League Soccer All-Star Game, but for the first time in three years the visiting team won't be Manchester United.

Yesterday, FOX Soccer confirmed the Brotherly Game's two week old report that Chelsea will come to PPL Park for the 2012 MLS All-Star Game. Ives Galarcep, the managing editor and founder of Soccer by Ives, wrote that MLS sources had "confirmed" to him that Chelsea was this year's All-Star Game opponent.

The Brotherly Game originally reported that Chelsea was set to play the Philadelphia leg of their American summer tour at PPL Park for the July 25 All-Star Game on March 31. A source informed the Brotherly Game that an internal memo had already been sent out at the time to prepare Philadelphia Union affiliated organizations for the summer match.

The London side will also travel to Seattle, Washington, D.C. and New York City as part of its summer tour in the United States. Chelsea last appeared in a MLS All-Star Game in 2006, losing 1-0 to the American league’s best XI at Toyota Park, home of the Chicago Fire, in Bridgeview, Ill.

MLS will live stream the All-Star Game opponent press conference at 11:30 a.m. today at PPL Park, in Chester, PA.
