Game Information: Houston Dynamo vs. Philadelphia Union, 9:00 PM, BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston, TX, Comcast Sportsnet with JP Dellacamera and Alejandro Moreno

Philadelphia Union starting XI: (4-2-2-2) Zac MacMath; Raymon Gaddis, Jeff Parke, Amobi Okugo, Sheanon Williams; Brian Carroll, Leo Fernandes; Antoine Hoppenot, Sebastien Le Toux; Aaron Wheeler, Conor Casey

Philadelphia Union bench: Jimmy McLaughlin, Christian Hernandez, Matt Kassel, Roger Torres, Chris Konopka, Don Anding, Chris Albright

Houston Dynamo starting XI: (4-1-2-1-2) Tally Hall; Jermaine Taylor, Eric Brunner, Bobby Boswell, Warren Creavalle; Adam Moffat; Andrew Driver, Oscar Boniek Garcia; Ricardo Clark; Giles Barnes, Omar Cummings

Houston Dynamo bench: Alex Dixon, Cam Weaver, Brian Ownby, Jason Johnson, Bryan Salazar, Mike Chabala, Tyler Deric

This can't be serious right? The MLS site lists the Union in a 4-2-2-2 but this is really more like a 4-1-5. I have no idea what the plan is or why a perfectly capable midfielder in Roger Torres is on the bench during this, but completely abandoning the most important part of the pitch is not a particularly wise strategy if you want to win.

Let's hope this goes better than it really should go. Follow @brotherlygame and @tbglive for updates on Twitter and chat it up here in the game thread.
