Georgetown forward Brett Campbell's goal in the 19th minute held up as the winner for the Union's PDL affiliate Reading United on Wednesday night.

Reading United beat Maryland Bays 1-0 in the game to set up a second round Open Cup match with Harrisburg City Islanders next week (May 20 at Don Thomas Stadium, Exeter Township Sr. High School) .

Campbell, a Wallingford native who will enter his third season at Georgetown this fall, wasn't the only Union Academy alumnus to make an impact on the game Wednesday night.

Goalkeeper Kyle Morton (James Madison) made three clutch saves late in the game to preserve the clean sheet. Campbell's college teammate Keegan Rosenberry was in the starting XI along with Colton Storm (North Carolina) and Shane Campbell (Louisville). Storm has played a lot of left back for the Tar Heels in his two seasons in Chapel Hill, but was listed as a forward in the starting XI Wednesday.

Union Academy Darius Madison (Virginia) and Memphis defender Quincy Thomas are also on the roster for the upcoming PDL season, which kicks off for Reading United with a road game at Lehigh Valley on Saturday.
