Rosenberry and Yaro both make 24 Under 24 short list
The Union defenders have been ranked as two of the best young players in MLS.
The 50 player shortlist for the annual MLS 24 Under 24 award has been released and the Union's Keegan Rosenberry and Joshua Yaro have both made the cut. The two Georgetown alums have each made an impact on a much improved Union side. Rosenberry's play in particular has already made him an MLS All-star and a front runner for the MLS Rookie of the Year.
According to the MLS website, The 24 Under 24 final list of players is created by members of the media and MLS soccer editorial staff. Every player in MLS under the age of 24 was available for selection, the list of 50 will be whittled down until the winner is announced on Thursday. The players are ranked according to their technical ability, personality, potential, soccer IQ, and physical attributes. Fabian Castillo took home the award last year, with Kekuta Manneh and Sebastian Lleget trailing him in second and third respectively.
Good young players are always exciting for a fanbase, and its nice to have two of them be recognized, hopefully Yaro and Rosenberry place well in the rankings.
