Andre Blake didn’t have a lot to do until the 89th minute, but he made his one save count in a scoreless draw for Jamaica against El Salvador in Houston on Friday night.

Blake earned his 39th cap for the Reggae Boyz in their second game of the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup and recorded his 13th career clean sheet for his country on the international stage.

Blake played Nelson Bonilla’s long free kick off the bounce cleanly to secure his first shutout since Jamaica beat El Salvador 2-0 in a Nations League qualifier back in March.

The Reggae Boyz are even with El Salvador on points in Group C (four) and one ahead of Curaçao with one game left in the group stage against Curaçao on Tuesday at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. Honduras is in fourth place after losing their first two games.

Bethlehem Steel defender Jamoi Topey was on the bench but did not play.
