Missing soccer? turn on FS1 to relive last Sunday’s match

Fox Sports 1 re-airing the Union vs LAFC match

March means we typically would bring you a game preview of the Philadelphia Union’s game, which includes how to watch and who they are playing. However with the suspension of league activities (Thanks coronavirus), our schedule is a little different.

So I bring to you this Sunday a re-preview of tonight’s game on FS1. Kickoff is allegedly set for 7:00 pm (hopefully we don’t need to sit through that half hour pre-show) of last Sunday’s thriller in Los Angeles. That match involved the boys in blue taking on LAFC.

In case you have been living under a rock, I highly suggest re-watching the game because of the quality goal scoring that took place. I’m not going to spoil it for you, but if you want to read how everything paned out check out Joe Lister’s piece right here

As far as tonight’s (Last Sunday’s) starting lineup, for the Union don’t expect much changes from their first game against FC Dallas. There will probably be a change at the six spot because Warren Creavalle, has been listed as questionable with an upper leg injury.

LAFC is arguably the best Xi in the league, with probably the best player Carlos Vela. Don’t just take my word for, the Union’s head coach Jim Curtain mentioned it in his press conference. He said the following after being asked how to stop Vella “It won’t be Carlos Vela versus Matt Real or whoever he’s 1v1 against, it’s versus the entire team and us doing a good job to first limit the amount of touches he gets on the ball but respecting he is the MVP of this league for a reason.”
