Five things to watch this week
Another replay of the Philadelphia Union game at LAFC, a Juventus doc and axe throwing among things to watch this week
Union Classics
For those who want to relive all the memories of the LAFC vs. Union game in March, Fox Sports is re-airing the game on Tuesday. You can even remember what it was like to stay up well into the night for the match, as the game will be on Fox Soccer Plus and fuboTV at 2 a.m. But do any of us have an actual sleep schedule to abide by anyways?
The Union’s playoff win vs. the New York Red Bulls will also be aired later in the week, on Friday at 2 p.m. The game will also be aired on Fox Soccer Plus and fuboTV.
You can also find other MLS Classics, including past All-Star Games and MLS Cup playoff matches here.
International Matches
For those looking to get their international soccer fix, you can watch a pair of Gold Cup matches on Thursday, May 7, also on Fox Sports Plus and fuboTV. While these games are also at midnight and 2 a.m., again, what other plans do you have?
For those looking to go to bed at a more respectable hour, three more American Gold Cup matches will be aired on Saturday, May 9, at 6:00 pm, 8:00 pm, and 10:00 pm. These are only available on Fox Soccer Plus.
The Legendary Belarusian Premier League
For those looking for some live action, “our” BPL teams, FC Slutsk and FC Dinamo Minsk, will be playing Friday, May 8, and Sunday, May 10, respectively. Both games can be viewed on YouTube.
First Team Juventus – Netflix
Similar to last week’s “Sunderland ‘Til I Die”, “First Team Juventus” offers an inside look into the inner workings of the Italian powerhouse as they look to repeat former glories and win the UEFA Champions League.
While the documentary is clearly a little bit more formal and seems to have more input from the team side, it’s still an interesting look into Juventus and what it takes for them to reach the top.
World Axe Throwing Championship
Each week we want to give you one non-soccer event to watch. This week, unfortunately, we’re starting with an incredibly high bar.
On Saturday, May 9, ESPNNews will be airing a replay of the 2019 World Axe Throwing World Championship. The world’s best axe throwers will be thrown once again into the spotlight as we get to relive the glory of the 2019 championship. The replay will be aired at 12:00 pm.
