Major League Soccer announced Thursday that Nashville Soccer Club has been withdrawn from the MLS is Back Tournament after 9 players tested positive for COVID-19. The decision comes after FC Dallas was also removed from the tournament with 10 positive cases on its roster.

The departure of Nashville and Dallas meant that there would be several scheduling changes that needed to be made. This resulted in the Chicago Fire moving from Group A to Group B to fill the slot left open by FC Dallas.

With Nashville gone, the Union will now play Inter Miami on Tuesday, July 14 at 10:30 p.m., then Orlando City SC on Monday, July 20 at 8 p.m. They only need to win one or tie both of these games to have a guaranteed spot in the next round of the tournament.

With six groups of four now in play for the tournament, the top two teams from each group and the top four third place finishers will advance to the knockout stage.
