Canadian international goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan came up with a routine save to clinch the shootout win and send Sky Blue FC through to the semifinals of the NWSL Challenge Cup on Saturday.

After neither team could find a breakthrough — Sheridan came up with a big stop on a would-be winner in the 73rd minute — the penalty shootout decided things with Sky Blue ending it in celebration after a 4-3 win.

They’ll play the winner of the OL Reign and Chicago Red Stars game on Wednesday at Rio Tinto Stadium with a shot at the NWSL Challenge Cup final on the line.
