Matej Oravec hasn’t featured yet for the Philadelphia Union in MLS play but he did get 90 minutes on Friday playing center back for the Slovakia U21 team in Euro U21 qualifying.

Slovakia lost 4-1 on Friday to Switzerland and again to the Swiss by a 2-1 final Tuesday. Oravec dressed for the game Tuesday but did not play. He picked up a yellow card in the game on Friday.

Slovakia is fifth in the Group 2 standings with 6 points after six matches played. Oravec has now played all but one of the matches, slotting in at center back for the last four and starting at holding midfield in the first qualifier last September.

The final two rounds of qualification will be played in October and November. Slovakia plays Azerbaijan on October 8 and France on October 12. Their final two group matches are scheduled against Georgia on November 12 and Liechtenstein on November 17.
