League’s newest designated player Gonzalo Higuain will be available for selection Sunday

When the Philadelphia Union take on the league’s newest club Inter Miami Sunday night, Inter Miami’s newest signing will be available for selection. It was last Friday when former Argentina international, Gonzalo Higuain was announced as Inter Miami’s newest signing and the league’s newest designated player.

ESPN reports Higuain spent most of his playing time with some of Europe’s biggest clubs. With spells at Real Madrid, Napoli, and Juventus. He also played on loan for both AC Milan and Chelsea.

The announcement of the club’s number 9 availability was made on Saturday afternoon. You can watch Inter Miami take on the boys in blue Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. That game will be shown on WPHL17 and stream live, for people in the Philadelphia broadcast region, on Philadelphiaunion.com.
