Corona was eligible for selection because he was an option-declined player and had not yet signed with Austin prior to the Re-Entry Draft. He could have opted out of the Re-Entry Draft but didn’t, so was eligible for selection. 

Sporting Kansas City adds French midfielder Rémi Walter
Walter joins Sporting KC as a central midfielder who can also play defensive midfielder. He has spent the majority of his career in France’s Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, first for Nancy starting in 2013, and then for Nice starting in 2016. While at Nice, he was loaned out to Nice II and Troyes. He made seven appearances for Nice in the UEFA Europa League.

FC Dallas acquires Jader Obrian from Rionegro Aguilas
The 25-year old joins FC Dallas after spending two seasons with Colombian first-division side Rionegro Aguilas where he has scored 27 goals in 68 appearances across all competitions. He is currently second in Categoría Primera A with 13 goals scored this season.

Mikey Ambrose re-joins Atlanta United as free agent
Ambrose, 27, was a part of the club’s roster for its first three seasons of existence, including being a member of the team’s MLS Cup-winning roster in 2018. The predominately left-sided defender left the club in 2019 to join expansion side Inter Miami.

Austin FC Acquires Colombian Defender Jhohan Romaña via Transfer from Club Guaraní
Romaña joins Austin FC after making 19 appearances (19 starts) with Paraguay Primera División side Club Guaraní. Romaña played 12 matches (11 starts) in the 2020 CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores, scoring one goal in group stage play during a 3-1 away win against Club Atlético Tigre from Argentina in October 2020.

Gio Reyna named U.S. Soccer’s Young Male Player of the Year
U.S. Soccer announced that Reyna was named the 2020 Young Male Player of Year for the first time in his career. Reyna beat out Yunus Musah, Mark McKenzie, and two other finalists after racking up 79 percent of the overall vote for the award.
