Philadelphia Union add D.C. United to preseason slate
The team has added a fourth scrimmage vs. Orlando City SC on March 24 and have announced D.C. United as their opponent in their friendly at Subaru Park on March 31.

OTD 2020: The Glesnes Rocket
Facing off against the defending Supporters’ Shield winners at Banc of California Stadium, the Union and LAFC were deadlocked at 1-1 early in the second half as Jakob Glesnes and Jamiro Monteiro stood over a free kick chance from 40 yards out. The rest is history and will forever be on Union highlight reels for the rest of time.

CF Montreal name Wilfried Nancy to replace Thierry Henry
Nancy, 43, is a long-time fixture with CF Montreal, having started out in the club’s academy back in 2011, and coaching the organization’s U16, U18 and U21 teams. He was promoted to first team assistant coach back in 2016.

Montreal is the second MLS team to announce they’re going to make Florida their home base for the start of the season due to the travel restrictions between Canada and the U.S. because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

D.C. United adds KV Kortrijk defender Brendan Hines-Ike on one-year loan
Hines-Ike, 26, is likely to compete for regular minutes regardless of whether Losada wants to play with three or four in the back. United entered 2021 with just three center backs (Steven Birnbaum, Frederic Brillant, and Donovan Pines), but has since signed first round pick Michael DeShields to an MLS contract.

LA Galaxy on verge of signing French winger Samuel Grandsir from AS Monaco
The 24-year-old will reportedly make the move in the coming days and sign a three-year contract with AS Monaco retaining a sell-on percentage via a clause in the deal.
