Weigh in on the individual performances in the Union’s 2-1 loss to Inter Miami

After a scrappy tie in Columbus, the Philadelphia Union returned home to a scrappy loss to Inter Miami FC, as the Union fell 2-1 in their first loss of the season.

One of few, if any, brights spots for the Union came in the form of Jamiro Monteiro, who scored the team’s only goal, earned over 95% passing accuracy, and three key passes throughout the match. Monteiro also went the full 90 minutes for Philadelphia.

The flip side of the coin for the Union showcased players like Andre Blake, who allowed two goals while only making one save — a fine one at that — after making six saves in the shoutout against Columbus the week prior. It also saw most of the team with under 80% passing accuracy, especially in the Union’s attack.

As the Union looks toward their Tuesday match against Atlanta United in the CCL, it’s easy to see that they’ll have plenty to focus on in practice before their next game.
