How to Watch: West Chester United vs Vereinigung Erzgebirge in National Amateur Cup

A trip to the Region 1 final is on the line between the two rivals today

The local rivalry between West Chester United and Vereinigung Erzgebirge has hit its stride over the past couple years with the two teams battling for dominance in league and cup play on a number of fronts.

Today the competition is the National Amateur Cup and a spot in the Region 1 final for the competition.

West Chester United hosts for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff at Kildare’s Turf Field. The winner faces the winner of Lansdowne Yonkers FC and Brockton FC United for the Region 1 final on June 19.

West Chester United was the last local team to make the final four of the National Amateur Cup, which they accomplished in 2018, losing in the final to Bavarian SC. The last time a team from the Philadelphia area won the competition was when Philadelphia Inter won it for the second straight year in 1974.

Today’s Region 1 semifinal will be streamed live on MyCujoo beginning at 1:30 p.m. Christian Taylor will call the game live.
