Defensive collapse cost the Union three points in Orlando

90+9’ – Final Whistle. The chaos Philly started was too late to try and even this game. Now we shift to the post game chat on the Spotify Green Room app. Come voice your feelings on how the union played tonight.
90+8’ – The boys in blue so close to evening up the game. Elliott breaking ankles his shot is saved. The rebound is crossed in front of net to Sullivan but his shot is saved by Orlando’s Smith on the goal line.
90+7 – Union get a drop ball and waste the opportunity as they turn it over easily.
90+3’ – Wagners corner goes far beyond the corner and is stopped at the top of the box. But Orlando’s player goes down and is a bloody mess. Guess we will have more than 4 minutes of stoppage. Training staff is cleaning Jansson up and it appears to be a broken nose here.
90’ – We will have 4 minutes of stoppage time.
88’ – McGlynn replaces Captain Bedoya. The free kick from the restart goes out of play. Waste of a free kick.
83’ – Orlando making their final sub here taking Nani off the field and bringing on Alvarado.
82’ – Philly is knocking on the door to even this game. Sullivan gets a nice shot off but it is saved.
77’ – More subs here for Orlando as the lions bring Akindele and Dezart on. Michel and Rosell are coming off. As Michel comes off he earns himself a yellow card for stopping and taking off his shinguards.
73’ – Double switch by Orlando here, Carlos and Water replace Pereyra and Mueller.
69’ – Jim Curtin making a double switch here bringing on Flach and Sullivan. The two replace Gazdag and Santos.
68’ – All we need to do was play down a man! Mbaizo crosses to the top of the box and Przybylko gets a great one timer off for a goal.
67’ – Santos goes down off the field. Now Mbaizo is assisting with stretching him out. Training staff is down looking at him. Looks like we are getting a change here shortly. Game restarts Union playing down a man currently.
64’ – Again soft defense with the U giving Nani space. Nani gets a shot off and it goes over the crossbar.
59’ – DAMN. Terrible defense again by the U and they get burnt.
56’ – Union off a throw in and the attack goes to waste. On the counter, Santos catches up to the play and commits a foul. That foul also earned him a spot in the ref’s black book with a yellow card.
53’ – Nani is down and the U taking advantage by continuing their attack. The attack ends with another shot from Gazdag that once again goes wide.
51’ – Gazdag taking a shot from 25 yards out and the ball is dipping as it gets closer to the net, but is wide.
46’ – Halftime is over. Union earn a foul on their defensive side.
45+2’ – seven seconds into the second minute the ref signals for half. Teams head to the dressing room at 9:15 PM.
45+1’ – We will have two minutes of stoppage here. Off the free kick Glesnes gets a head on it and it goes wider. It has been the team’s closest shot yet.
45’ – Pereyra puts an elbow into Santos’s face and earns himself a Yellow card.
44’ – Santos gets a shot off from inside the box but it goes again over the bar.
43’ – Santos is fouled and we have a free kick from deep in their defensive area. Freese sends it up field by the U couldn’t get a decent attack going from it.
40’ – Martinez lines up for a shot and sends it flying over the net.
39’ – Santos up the field, Gazdag runs with him and they have a 2v2. Gazday tries to slip it into a streaking player but it gets fumbled. The smart play would have been Gazdag taking the shot.
38’ – Santos shoved to the ground at the edge of the box. Nothing is called.
35’ – Union earn their first corner of the game. Service from the far flag goes high off Elliott’s head and out of play. Goal Kick.
32’ – Union with runners into the penalty area and Santos sends the ball behind Przybylko but keeps the ball. After a few crosses into the box play is stopped as Wagner goes down. Medical is back on the pitch looking at Wagner.
29’ – He is up and limped off to the sideline. Free kick is sent into the box area bounces off plenty of people’s heads and is eventually cleared out. Mbaizo is back on the field, meanwhile Real is warming up on the sideline.
27’ – Mbaizo down on the field and the training staff is out on the pitch looking at him.
25’ – We have the games first corner here. It comes from the near flag and played short. After a few crosses the Union are able to get the ball up the field. This is the first attack in a while for the U it feels.
22’ – Played short and then goes wide to the left side of the net. Orlando moves the ball over to the right side and the shot eventually comes in but is sent out of play for a throw-in. Union’s defense is doing a lot better here.
21’ – Orlando earns a free kick after a late challenge by Glesnes.
18’ – Sloppy defense continuing for the Union here.
13’ – The lions again getting space inside the penalty area, but the shot hits the crossbar. The U should be praising the crossbar.
10’ – U attacking up the left side here, but the give and go is a little hard and goes past Gazdag. On the counter Orlando spreads out the defense and picks up a streaking Orlando City who passes by Mbaizo. Benji Michel’s shot goes into the back of the net.
7’ – Both teams taking turns with attacks in the first few minutes. Union also deploying the high press.
1’ – Thunderstorms are gone and we have a soccer game! The union wearing the BY/U Secondary kits. Kickoff happened at 8:27 PM. We had a false start by Orlando to start the game as well.
