How to watch: Philadelphia Union host Chicago Fire FC
Out of the two times the two sides have meet this season the Union won one and grabbed a draw in the other match
The Philadelphia Union will be hosting a familiar opponent this weekend, Chicago Fire FC. Sunday’s match will be the third meeting between the two teams, the first time they will meet in Chester this season. In the previous two meetings the Union won once, and then tied in their last meeting.
With Andre Blake and Cory Burke both returning after being away for the Gold Cup, hopefully they can start grabbing 3 points. Right now the Union have only won one game in their last 6 matches. Another big stat that will show just how important Blake, who recently signed an extension, is to the team is the fact that in all of those game the boys in blue gave up at least one goal. Before leaving for the Jamaican National team, Blake and the defense have been able to pull off 6 clean sheets. That works out to be 50% of the league games that the defending goalkeeper of the year has been in net for.
Sunday night’s matchup is also a nationally televised game, so it will not be available on the Union website or the ESPN app. The english feed for all viewers, since the game is on TUDN and UniMás, will be on Twitter.
The radio call will be available on FOX The Gambler, which is available via 102.5 FM, 104.5 HD2, the iHeart App and 1480 AM.
