University of Pennsylvania star Ben Stitz will begin his professional career with FC Cincinnati 2 in MLS Next Pro.

The team signed the Baltimore native to a contract for the 2023 season with an option for 2024. Stitz had a successful trial with the club after his hometown team DC United passed on signing him. DC United drafted the 22-year-old 31st overall in the second round.

Stitz enjoyed a breakout senior season scoring 11 goals and adding eight assists for the Ivy League champions. His first goal of the season against Colgate sparked a seven-match scoring run including two multi-goal performances against DePaul and Monmouth.

Stitz led the Quakers to a first-round win in the NCAA tournament, scoring twice against Rutgers, and earned Second-team All-Region and Second-team All-Ivy honors after setting career highs in goals, shots and shots on goal.
