Lower League Round-Up: Week of April 24

In this week’s lower league round-up, we take a look back at the week of April 24, 2023 to keep you up to date with the local area clubs in men’s lower league soccer. We are approaching the home stretch of the season for both EPSL and USLPA so table positioning is getting tight. Also, Philadelphia currently has an undefeated, top of the table team in Philadelphia Lone Star FC.

Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL)

EPSL teams had the week off with games set to resume on 5/6/23. This gives us a chance to check in on the CASA Select division, which has a pro/rel agreement with EPSL. If you need a refresher on the details, check out the article here. With promotion on the line, here are the updated CASA Select division standings:

There will not be relegation from the EPSL Delaware River Conference division this year since there are not 12 teams in the conference yet.

United Premier Soccer League (UPSL)

    • Lone Star put in 4 goals on Sunday including this beauty from Alvin Dahn (both the goal and the audio are great):

    • Lone Star currently sit top of the UPSL Northeast – American division table with a 5-1-0 (W-D-L) record with 5 regular season games remaining.
  • Saturday 4/29 – NY Renegades 7-1 Pennsylvania Prime
  • Sunday 4/30 – Union SC 3-1 Lancaster Elite
