Ocean City Nor’Easters defeated Eagle FC by a 3-0 scoreline on Friday night, moving to a perfect 10-0-0 and becoming the first team to clinch a USL2 playoff spot in the 2026 season. In his 50th match at the helm, head coach Kevin Nuss used a rotated squad to get the job done in Mechanicsburg, continuing a club-record perfect streak to open the season.

Eagle FC opened the match with a defensive approach, forcing Ocean City to push numbers forward. While Eagle frustrated The Storm for a while, Ocean City found a breakthrough late in the first half. Adrian Jogerst stepped up to take a Nor’Easters free kick. After the ball bounced around in the box, it fell to Robiston Lukau, who finished confidently to give Ocean City the lead.

Ocean City doubled their lead early in the second half. Lukau turned from scorer to provider, this time setting up Loyola Marymount’s Skyler Wright to double the lead. The visitors’ third goal would come minutes later, via a long throw by Union Academy product Devon Stopek. Eagle FC failed to clear the throw, bouncing around before it fell to the Nor’Easters’ Harrison Knight, who tapped it in for the third goal. The match ended 3-0 in favor of Ocean City.

The win over Eagle FC was Ocean City’s 10th straight victory to open the 2026 season, clinching their berth in the playoffs. The 2026 playoffs will mark Ocean City’s sixth straight post-season appearance, setting a new club record. Ocean City have 4 matches remaining in which they will look to regain their title as Mid-Atlantic Division Champions after finishing in 2nd place by one point in 2025.

The Storm have a quick turnaround for their next match, scheduled to face Philadelphia Lone Star on Sunday afternoon. Ocean City will look to extend their club-record perfect streak to 11 matches.
