Four Eastern PA teams GotSport rankings champions for 2023

Two teams from Reading Rage and teams from Keystone FC and Sporting PA were among the youth teams that were ranking champions for their respective age groups by GotSoccer for 2023.

GotSoccer’s first RIA Awards were given to rankings champions among both boys and girls teams in the U10 through U19 age groups. The awards honor one of the rankings key creators, Ria Owen Thomas, who shaped and calculated the first national rankings for youth soccer teams in America back in 1999.

All four Eastern Pennsylvania teams honored are girls teams:

Girls U14 Champions: Keystone FC – 2010 GA (PAE)
The Keystone Girls 2010 GA Team had an amazing year, winning their South Atlantic Conference League and going on to win the State Cup and becoming Eastern Regional Champions. They finished the year on top nationally and become the GotSoccer RIA Champions for U14 Girls in 2023.

Girls U15 Champions: Reading Rage SC – 2009 Pugh (PAE)
Reading Rage Soccer Club in Eastern Pennsylvania have a history of producing excellent teams, and their 2009 Pugh team were fantastic in 2023. Winning the FC Europa Turf Cup in March, The Sate Cup in the summer and then becoming the Eastern Regional Champions in the summer. They finished the year winning at the VisitRayleigh College Showcase and at the top of the Rankings nationally – becoming our U15 Girls GotSoccer RIA Champions for 2023.

Girls U16 Champions: FC Europa – Sporting PA 2008 (PAE)
Formed in 2008, FC Europa have focused on a holistic player development and their Sporting PA U16 Team had a tremendous year. Winning the Penn Fusion Winter Showcase at the start of 2023, they went on to win their Mid Atlantic Conference Spring League and the State Cup. Semi-Finalists at the Regional Championships, their form saw them end 2023 at the top of the rankings nationally and become our GotSoccer RIA Champions for U16 Girls.

Girls U17 Champions: Reading Rage SC – 2007 Press (PAE)
A second winner from the formative Reading Rage Soccer Club, their 2007 Press team had a strong year winning the Disney Showcase in January, becoming State Champions in the Spring and winning again at the EDP Cup Spring Showcase. A Semi-finalist placement in the Regionals saw them finish top of the rankings nationally at the end of the year – and our GotSoccer RIA Champions for U17 girls.
