Manheim native signs pro contract with New England Revolution II
Manheim, Pa. native Eric Klein, the son of a former Revs player, has signed a professional deal with the New England Revolution II.
Klein, 17, has spent the past two seasons with the Revolution Academy after starring at PA Classics and was playing for Revs II as an amateur.
He made his MLS Next Pro debut July 12, 2023 against Crown Legacy FC and has since tallied a goal and three assists over 24 appearances, including 20 starts. Klein leads the team with 1,861 minutes played in the 2024 MLS Next Pro campaign.
“Eric has demonstrated great potential and a strong work ethic during his time in our program,” Technical Director Remi Roy stated in a news release. “Eric is deserving of this opportunity to take the next step in our pro pathway. We look forward to watching him continue to flourish in our system as he gains experience at the MLS Next Pro level.”
Klein’s contract runs through the 2026 season.
His father, Steve Klein, played for the Revolution during the 1997 season after being drafted out of Bowling Green in the 1997 MLS SuperDraft. He is currently the Director of Coaching and MLS Next Director for PA Classics.
