It’s a new era of the Philadelphia Union but two familiar players whose first names rhyme that linked up for the first goal of the 2025 season: Kai and Tai.

Down 1-0 on an 8th minute goal from MLS newcomer Marco Pašalić, Baribo got on the end of a line drive cross from Kai Wagner to tie the game up in the 23rd minute. The sequence completed a play started by a turnover forced by Quinn Sullivan, whose deflected shot set Wagner up for his first assist of the season.

The goal is Baribo’s 10th in MLS play and 17th in all competitions. The assist is Wagner’s 53rd in league play.
