SJEB FC hosting Ukies in Friday night WPSL match-up

While the 2025 WPSL season kicks off locally mid-week, the marquee match of Week 1 will be played Friday night at Rowan University between SJEB FC and Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals Liberty.

SJEB FC is coming off a second place finish in the Mid-Atlantic Colonial Conference last summer after winning the conference in 2022 and 2023. The South Jersey team made it all the way to the national semifinal in 2022.

The Liberty finished fifth in the conference in their first season, compiling a 3-5-1 record. They open their season Wednesday at home against FC Monmouth. Penn Fusion, the 2024 conference champions, open their season at Rider University against Real Central Jersey on Wednesday. The Mid-Atlantic Commonwealth Conference kicked off on Sunday with PA Classics posting a 1-0 win over Keystone FC.

Admission to Friday’s game is free. SJEB FC is encouraging their fans to wear red for the home and season opener.
