Ten teams from District 1 and District 12 are left standing after Saturday’s thrilling quarterfinal matches in the PIAA boys and girls soccer state playoffs.

Faith Christian Academy is the lone school with both their boys and girls teams still playing. Archbishop Wood girls are the only District XII team that advanced to the state semifinal. Wood faces top-ranked Northwestern Lehigh, defending state champs in Class 2A, in the semifinal

Philadelphia Catholic League girls champions St. Hubert came up short in a 2-1 loss to Lower Dauphin, which made it to last year’s Class 3A girls final before falling to Strath Haven. Radnor girls beat Abington Heights 1-0 in their quarterfinal. Abington Heights was ranked 10th in the most recent state coaches poll.

Central Bucks East and Central Bucks South are one win away from setting up an all Central Bucks final in Class 4A. It would mark the second straight year that two teams from District 1 played in the girls final after Downingtown West beat Conestoga in 2024. Abington boys and West Chester Henderson have a chance to set up an all Class 4A boys final but Abington will have to get past perennial WPIAL power Seneca Valley and Henderson has 2024 state finalist Parkland to contend with in their semifinal.

Delco Christian, meanwhile, is the team left in the local field with the most recent state title. The Knights won Class A in 2023. All of last year’s state champions: Strath Haven girls, Radnor boys, Downingtown West girls and Dock Mennonite girls have had their seasons come to a close.
