MLS today announced that its Independent Review Panel has unanimously voted to rescind the one-game suspension and accompanying fine for the red card issued to Japhet Sery Larsen in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Columbus.

Sery Larsen will now be eligible for this weekend’s match against Nashville. Each MLS club is entitled to two unsuccessful appeals each season. As this action was successful, Philadelphia retains both.

Sery Larsen, 26, was acquired in the offseason from SK Brann and has been a steady presence in the Philadelphia Union’s back line. He’s made 12 appearances and logged 833 minutes in all competitions and scored his first goal for the Union in their 2-1 win over CF Montreal on April 11.
