The University of Delaware men’s soccer team is ranked nationally for the first time since 2014.

The Blue Hens (3-0-0) are ranked No. 23 in the NSCAA Division 1 Coaches Poll. They received votes in last week’s poll but haven’t been ranked since the 2014 season when they climbed to as high as No. 11 in the polls.

“I am happy for our players in that their hard work thus far has paid off with a place amongst the best teams in the nation,” head coach Ian Hennessy said in a news release.

Millersville, which has won their first two games of the season, checked in at No. 18 for the Division 2 poll and Camden County College (2-0-1) has moved up to fifth in the Division III junior college poll.

Temple, which is off to a 4-0 start, received votes for the top 25 along with Penn State and Rider. Notre Dame moved into the top spot and Clemson, North Carolina, Indiana and Maryland round out the top 5.
