Halftime Recap: Philadelphia Union 2, Atlanta United 1
Through goals from Alberg and Bedoya, the Union lead by one at the half.
Through 45 minutes, the Philadelphia Union boast a 2-1 lead over Atlanta United FC. Roland Alberg and Alejandro Bedoya struck twice for the Union early on, but Yamil Asad quickly struck back for Atlanta.
Alberg’s goal came in the 18th minute, when Atlanta made a mess of a Keegan Rosenberry cross. Giliano Wijnaldum took advantage of a weak clearance, playing it back into the box and onto the chest of Roland Alberg. The midfielder timed his run perfectly, giving himself plenty of time to poke the ball past Atlanta ‘keeper Brad Guzan.
