Drudge Report Using A Picture Of The River End As Front Page Photo
(h/t to @brotherlygame Twitter follower @AMack0914)
Political website Drudge Report has adopted a photo of the River End as its front page photograph.
With an American flag, and a Sons of Ben one as well, being waved amongst the smoke, the Drudge Report possibly chose the photo to tie into the site's current headline of "Age Of America Ends." Symbolism is abound in the photo, as the national anthem comes to mind (the bombs bursting in air/Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there).
The Drudge Report is a news aggregation site that sometimes features stories from the site's owner. Beginning in 1996 as an email based news source, the Drudge Report has grown into the 433rd most read site on the internet, according to Alexa rankings. The website was also the first news source to report the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
It is not the first time that the Sons of Ben have made 'national' news, as the supporters organization has also been interviewed by publications such as Sports Illustrated, GQ and appeared numerous times on ESPN and ESPN2.
