Santos, Gazdag named to MLS Team of the Week
Philadelphia Union’s big win over the Toronto FC netted a pair of players on Major League Soccer’s Team of the Week for Week X, the league announced on Thursday afternoon with both Sergio Santos and Daniel Gazdag getting the honors.

Timbers officially announce Jeremy Ebobisse trade to San Jose
The Portland Timbers announced on Thursday that they have traded forward Jeremy Ebobisse to the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for $1.167 million in General Allocation Money.

Rumor: Revs transfer Tajon Buchanan to Club Brugge
According to Tom Bogert, the Brampton, Ontario-native is headed to Club Brugge of the Belgian Pro League. Both New England and Brugge have “agreed in principle for a deal” on Buchanan.

Sporting KC signs midfielder Jose Mauri
Mauri has played for AC Milan, Parma and Empoli in Italy before returning to Argentina with Club Atletico Talleres. Mauri is signed through the end of 2022 with an option for 2023.

Colorado Left Back Sam Vines Signs With Belgium’s Antwerp
With Vines being a homegrown player, the Rapids will retain the full transfer fee, per MLS regulations. According to ESPN, Colorado has a replacement lined up, with Palmeiras’s Lucas Esteves set to join the club on loan.

Vancouver Whitecaps sign Ecuador youth international Pedro Vite to U22 initiative deal
Vite, 19, is an Ecuadorian youth international, featuring at the 2019 U-17 World Cup. He has three goals and six assists over 25 appearances in his senior club career thus far, including 10 matches in the Copa Libertadores, South America’s premier club competition.

LA Galaxy sign forward Dejan Joveljić
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan from Eintracht at Austrian club Wolfsberger AC, scoring 20 goals in 46 appearances, a good scoring rate. He’s also played on loan at Belgian giant Anderlecht, and began his career at Serbian giant Red Star. Joveljić is a full Serbian international, making his debut earlier this year at that level.

Minnesota United buys out veteran defender Ike Opara’s contract
The Loons defender played only two games to start 2020 season after he won 2019 MLS Defender of the Year and signed a new contract. 

Dynamo announce signing of Panamanian midfielder Adalberto Carrasquilla
The 22 year old recently featured for Panama at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, starting all 3 games for his countries and tallying an assist.

FC Cincinnati trade with New York Red Bulls for Florian Valot
Further details of the trade were revealed Thursday, and FCC sent $50,000 in 2022 General Allocation Money (GAM) in exchange for Valot, Cincinnati officials confirmed. Another $50,000 in add-ons in the form of 2022 GAM could go to the Red Bulls if certain performance-based metrics are met.
