Philadelphia Lone Star joining USL Academy League

Philadelphia Lone Star will be part of the USL Academy League’s pilot Mid-Atlantic Division beginning the 2023 season.

“Philadelphia Lone Star is very committed to developing soccer in our community,” stated club President/CEO Paul Konneh in a news release. “This is another great opportunity for the club to continue its growth by providing another elite competition for our young Stars. We are looking forward to what the future holds for the youth-to-professional model in southwest Philadelphia.”

Training will begin soon for the new program for players ages 16-19 with the regular season expected to start in May/June.
