Aljaz Ivacic signs contract extension with Timbers
Ivacic came to the Timbers in 2019, and after sitting behind Jeff Attinella and then Steve Clark on the depth chart he won the starting job outright in 2022. He started 32 games for the Timbers last year, earning several MLS Team of the Week honors along the way.

2023 US Open Cup: Bleacher Report app, YouTube to broadcast featured Round 1 matches
Six matches from the first round, and eight matches each from the second and third rounds will be broadcast on the B/R platform. The first round is 14 matches in total, second round is 30 matches in total, and the third round will be 24 matches in total.
Concacaf W Gold Cup to debut in February 2024
There will be a six team preliminary round on February 17th where 3 teams will complete the 12-team group stage. They will perform the group stage in 3 groups of 4 teams each, taking place February 20th through the 28th.
Oguchi Onyewu linked with U.S. Soccer Sporting Director role
During his career, he appeared for the USMNT 69 times, including the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups. Since retiring from his playing career, Onyewu has served as a commentator for CBS. He also served as the Sporting Director for Orlando City B, the reserve team for the MLS side.
