Leagues Cup 2023: Philadelphia Union schedule announced

Published

on

The Philadelphia Union is gearing up to compete in the highly anticipated Leagues Cup 2023, a new Concacaf competition featuring all 47 clubs from the LIGA MX and MLS going head-to-head in a World Cup-style tournament from July 21 to August 19, 2023.

As the number one seeded MLS club (LAFC gets a bye for winning the MLS Cup. Curse you, Bale!), the Union will play in the East 1 group against two LIGA MX teams, Club Tijuana (ranked 15th) and Querétaro (ranked 17th).

The Union will host Club Tijuana on July 22 and Queretaro on July 26 at Subaru Park. Club Tijuana and Queretaro will also face off at Subaru Park on July 30.

Following the group stage, the top two teams from each group will advance to the Round of 32. Advancing MLS clubs will then host knockout round matches against LIGA MX teams, and all Leagues Cup knockout round matches will take place at MLS venues.

If you’re a full-season ticket member of the Philadelphia Union, you’re in luck! The July 22nd contest against Club Tijuana is already included in your 2023 full-season ticket package at no additional cost. For the July 26th match against Queretaro F.C., the game will be added to your season ticket membership. If you do not want to purchase this game, an opt-out window will be available at a future date.

If you’re a soccer fan looking to catch all the action, you can watch every match on MLS Season Pass through the Apple TV app, available on Apple devices, smart TVs, streaming devices from Roku, Amazon, and Google, gaming consoles, and the web at tv.apple.com. Additionally, select matches will be broadcast on FOX Sports, TelevisaUnivision, TSN, and RDS.

The winner of the Leagues Cup 2023 will earn a spot in the 2024 Concacaf Champions League. You can find the full schedule for the tournament at this link.
