Get ready for a soccer extravaganza this weekend with the Ukrainian American Sport Center hosting the 2023 USASA Region 1 finals. Over the course of Saturday June 17 and Sunday June 18, we will see USASA Region 1 champions crowed in:

  • Men Under-23 Championship
  • Women’s Championship
  • The Gerhard Mengel Cup (Men Over-30 Championship)
  • Men Over-40 Championship
  • Men Over-50 Championship
  • The Werner Fricker Cup (Open Championship)
  • The National Amateur Cup

United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) is a part of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and USASA is divided into four regions. Filling out those four regions, USASA has 54 State Associations. Of note, the number of State Associations exceeds the number of states as a result of split State Associations in Texas, California, Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio.

Region 1 winners will advance to the national finals of each respective cup to face the winners of regions 2, 3 and 4 at a later date.

State Cups and playoffs previously took place to determine the representatives battling it out this weekend in the Region 1 finals. The exception to this is the Women’s Championship and the Men Under-23 Championship, which will have group play games all day Saturday to determine the representatives in those respective finals on Sunday.

Here is the lineup to look forward to a fun weekend of soccer:
