Philadelphia Union left back Kai Wagner will not be traveling to New England today ahead of Wednesday night’s Game 2 of the MLS Round One playoff series with the Revolution.

Union head coach Jim Curtin made that announcement to open his press conference on Tuesday.

“There is currently an investigation going on,” Curtin said. “That involves the players union, the disciplinary committee, the Commissioner, lawyers, and I’m currently not allowed to speak or comment on anything while that investigation is ongoing. I hope we can respect that moving forward.”

The Union’s star left back is being investigating for an alleged use of a racial slur directed toward New England forward Bobby Wood in game one of the series at Subaru Park on October 28.
