Nashville grabbed a 1-0 victory in the first matchup against the two sides but has not won since.
The difference in play style shows between the sides, as they have played to two draws in MLS play, with the most recent coming in a scoreless draw during their last meeting

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE UNION

The Philadelphia Union made it two straight wins last week with a 2-0 victory against Minnesota United at home. The Boys in Blue capitalized on an early corner, with Daniel Gazdag burying the loose ball. In the second half, Julian Carranza netted his third goal in four MLS matches this season and his seventh amongst all competition.
The U are one of three undefeated teams across MLS play, boasting a 2-3-0 record and sitting seventh in the Eastern Conference with a game in hand of all teams above.
Curtin spoke to media and said all players should be available for the match this evening, given Andre Blake passes through concussion protocol. Last match, Blake exited early, with Oliver Semmle rounding out the first shut out in MLS play this season.
After exiting the Champions Cup at the hands of Pachuca, the Boys in Blue found success in focusing only on MLS play, winning both of their last two matches against Western Conference opponents.
Nashville SC will be just the second Eastern Conference matchup for the Union this season and their first since their opening match against Chicago Fire, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT NASHVILLE

Nashville continues to boast their defensive prowess, which has made it difficult for the Union to break them down in the past.
The team is struggling to find their footing in MLS play so far this season, coming off a 5-0 defeat to LAFC before regaining confidence with a draw against the reigning MLS Cup champion Columbus Crew last weekend.
Nashville SC sit eleventh in the Eastern Conference standings this season, with only one win coming against Charlotte on March 16.
Nashville also played in the Champions Cup this season, losing out to Inter Miami in the Round of 16.
Nashville will look to grab a win over the Union before traveling to Miami next weekend for their third match against the side in just over a month.
