Delaney Lappins shot from about 25 yards out hit the top left corner in the 90th minute of play to help defending WPSL Mid-Atlantic Conference, Colonial Division champion SJEB FC (1-0-2) salvage a 3-3 tie with visiting Penn Fusion SA (1-0-2) Friday night at the Rowan University Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium in Glassboro, NJ.

Lappin, an SJEB FC captain, who will play her fifth and final year of collegiate eligibility at the University of New Hampshire, picked her spot and accurately connected out of the reach of Penn Fusion goalkeeper Megan Plaschko to tie the score in the waning seconds.

After SJEB struck first in the 21st minute on a goal by Nicole Everard (St. Josephs University), Penn Fusion grabbed a 3-1 halftime lead behind three straight goals by Madison Shumate. Plaschko (TCU) helped Penn Fusion maintain that lead by making six first-half saves. She finished the night with nine total stops.

SJEB pulled to within a goal 10 minutes into the second half when Olivia Brocisous (Drexel University) connected to cut Penn Fusions lead to 3-2, setting the stage for Lappins heroics. Summer Reimet (Monmouth) had two assists for the home team.
