Defending champions La Salle College High School and Archbishop Wood are each a win away from getting a chance to defend their Philadelphia Catholic League soccer titles as the No. 1 seeds in each competition.

Wood is seeking their fourth straight PCL girls title. They face St. Hubert’s in the second semifinal Tuesday at Gwynned Mercy University. Nazareth Academy, which made the final in their first season in the PCL is the second seed and will play Archbishop Ryan in the first game at 4 p.m.

La Salle is seeking the program’s 13th PCL title. The Explorers have won 5 of the last 7 finals dating back to 2016 (2020 final was canceled).

La Salle plays Roman at 4:30 p.m. at James Ramp Memorial Recreation Center on Wednesday. Ryan and Father Judge square off in the second final in a rematch of the 2022 final Ryan won on penalties. Judge last won a PCL title in 2013 and Roman last won it in 2015.
