Atlantic 10 rivals Saint Joseph’s and La Salle will meet in the championship game of the Philly Soccer 6 Cup on Saturday night at WSFS Bank Sportsplex.

La Salle advanced to the championship game with a 2-1 win over Temple on Friday night and was the lone team to win both of their group matches in regulation. Saint Joseph’s played Drexel to a scoreless draw and outlasted them in a penalty shootout to win the south group and advance to the final.

The dramatic shootout victory – which included a red card dismissal of the St. Joe’s goalkeeper – puts the Hawks in line to win a trophy under new head coach Tim Mulqueen, who returned to his alma mater after being named the new head coach in December.

The third and fifth place games will kick off simultaneously at 7 p.m. Drexel and Rider will play for third place while Villanova and Temple will battle for the fifth place spot.
