13 players from Union organization receive national team call-ups
With the Philadelphia Union heading into the final stretch of the season, they will have to remain patient as multiple players have received call-ups at the international level. Bradley Carnell and his staff will be crossing their fingers that they can get through this short window injury-free as the postseason approaches. Here’s a look at who got a call-up:
Senior & International Call-Ups
Tai Baribo (Forward, Israel) – Tai Baribo earns himself another call-up after what has been a standout season with Philadelphia Union, recording 17 goals and 3 assists across all competitions so far. His club form continues to earn him opportunities at the international level.
Nathan Harriel (Defender, USA) – Harriel earns a call-up following solid defensive performances since his last appearance with the U.S. Men’s National Team at the Gold Cup. He will again get the chance to prove himself in front of Mauricio Pochettino and his staff.
Danley Jean Jacques (Midfielder, Haiti) – The powerful midfielder has been consistently impactful throughout the season, and his services will be needed by Haiti. Jean Jacques will bring his engine and dynamism to the international stage once again.
U.S. Youth National Team Call-Ups
The Union’s homegrown and youth talent also shine this window. Eddy Davis III, Sal Olivas, and Andrew Rick will join the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team Domestic Identity Training Camp in West Palm Beach, Florida, under Rob Valentino.
Philadelphia Union Homegrown defender Frankie Westfield has been selected to join the U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team training camp. Head coach Marko Mitrovic announced a 23-player roster for the international camp, which will run from September 1-8 in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain.
For the U.S. U-19 National Team, Neil Pierre and Kaiden Moore will participate in the Domestic Identity Camp. Meanwhile, the U.S. U-17 National Team will feature Cavan Sullivan, Kellan LeBlanc, Malik Jakupovic, and Jamir Johnson.
It is worth noting that the identification camps are separate from training camps. The ID camps are a way for the players to showcase their skills and how they would fit within the US system. The training camps differ in the fact that they include players who have already been identified and put through the system. The goal is for US Soccer to become more unified and increase the amount of talent being seen throughout the country.
In total, 13 players from the Union organization, spanning the first team, Union II, and the Academy, have received international call-ups this window, highlighting the club’s growing reputation as a pathway to both professional and international competition.
