Highly touted left back prospect Jordan Griffin has officially turned pro, signing an MLS Next Pro contract with Philadelphia Union II ahead of the start of the 2026 season.

Griffin, 17, is the 11th player from the Philadelphia Union Academy to sign an MLS Next Pro deal.

Jordan has shown steady growth within our environment and continues to demonstrate a strong understanding of our system,” said Ryan Richter, Philadelphia Union II head coach, in a news release. “We’re looking forward to seeing him build on that progress and take another step this season.”

Griffin, of West Chester, Pa., has appeared in 21 MLS Next Pro matches for Union II and appeared in Union II’s Conference quarterfinal match against FC Cincinnati 2 in 2025. Internationally, he has represented the U.S. at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar, where he made one appearance and the Concacaf U-17 Championship, where he made a pair of appearances.
