The woodwork was the friend of the Eagles on Wednesday as Eastern tied Moravian 1-1 at home in a tight contest.

Moravian scored first on a goal by Colin Woehlcke just five minutes in and had several chances to add to their tally if not for the woodwork. Ethan Pfau’s third of the season in the 57th minute leveled the game but Moravian continued to search for a winner with shots toward the goal.

The Greyhounds finished the match with a 19-4 advantage on shots and a 5-1 advantage on shots on target.

Eastern improved to 1-0-2 on the season with their second draw while Moravian improved to 1-1-2 on the year.
