Bethlehem Steel FC announce home opener

We also learned they play Harrisburg two weeks later

The USL released the home openers yesterday for every team in the league ahead of a schedule release which should be sometime next week. That being said, we know who Bethlehem Steel FC will face when they open Goodman Stadium for their second season. After a really weird and surely frustrating bye week, Steel FC will welcome the Rochester Rhinos on April 1st with the kickoff time yet to be determined. While the extra week might have Head Coach Brendan Burke's squad a bit more rested, not getting stuck into a competitive match right away could be difficult.

The USL also kind of gave away another game for their trouble, as Steel FC will entertain the Harrisburg City Islanders (or City Islanders FC) two weeks later on March 15th at FNB Field. That should be a fun match up, and will be (presumably) the first match in the Keystone Cup for 2017.

All time against the Rhinos, Steel FC are 0-0-2 with a 1-1 affair in the Valley last year. Against their neighbors from central PA, Bethlehem are 0-2-1 with a thrilling 2-2 draw in their last outing in August when they played at FNB Field.
